First Day of Track = Commitment and Communication/Fundraiser

Dear Track Families, Today we had a great first day. We didn't get much practicing done, but we went over the expectations, met the coaching staff and signed up for the fundraiser. Commitment and Communication The number one this that will make this season successful is for athletes to be committed and for them to communicate. It is difficult to place the best team on the track when athletes are not present and committed at every possible practice. Also, if an athlete is going to miss there is an expectation that they communicate that with their event coach and fill out the Track Absence Form . The absence form is on the website and will be a part of all of my emails. Fundraiser Today most athletes signed up for the fundraiser. More information will come and there will be a presentation at the parent meeting. Please support our fundraiser. Track and Field is a very expensive sport, but we want to provide the athletes with all the equipment to help them be successful. Below is what we will use the fundraising money for. Also, attached is the parent flyer. The fundraiser will officially kick off next Tuesday the 22nd. What are we raising money for: We will use the money for essential equipment, uniforms, and stipends for Volunteer Coaches as well as essential equipment includes but is not limited to:

  • Yearly Equipment = Batons, Spikes, Throwing Implements, Measuring Tape, Mini hurdles, etc..

  • Starting Blocks and Cart

  • Jump Bars, Standards, mat covers

  • New Tent Used for Track and Cross Country

  • Hurdles

  • Pole Vault Poles

  • Rollout Runway

  • Sky hook Jump Mat = Vertical Jump Training
